How many sessions a year do you offer?

What kind of educational background is required for admission?
You must have an undergraduate degree from a regionally accredited college or university with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75 on all attempted college credits to satisfy the minimum requirements established by the MPH portion of the dual degree.
Is a campus residency required?
No, the online Dual MSMOB/MPH program does not require a campus visit or residency.
Is a thesis required?
No, the online Dual MSMOB/MPH program does not require a thesis.
Is there an internship requirement?
Yes, the MPH portion of the dual degree requires students to complete 240 hours of an internship, which can be arranged and completed at a public health care organization convenient to your location.
Do I have to apply separately to both programs?
Yes, but the application process has been streamlined for the Dual MPH/MSMOB program to reduce duplication. Your application for admission to the Dual MPH/MSMOB program will be reviewed by both the MPH and MSMOB departments. Can the graduate entrance exam requirement be waived?
Yes, the required graduate exams can be waived for students who meet the requirements below:
- Applicants already possessing an advanced degree are eligible to request a graduate exam waiver.
- Applicants who meet certain undergraduate GPA requirements are eligible to request a graduate exam waiver.
- Graduate entrance exam waiver requests are individually determined after the Department Chair reviews the complete application form.

How many total credits are required?
The online Dual MSMOB/MPH program consists of 61 credit hours: 34 for the MPH portion, 27 for the MSMOB portion.
How many courses do I take per academic term?
On average, most working adult students take one online course per eight-week session.
Can I transfer credits for equivalent course work?
Yes, up to 32 credit hours of equivalent graduate coursework completed with a grade of "B" or better within the last five years at a regionally-accredited college or university will be reviewed for transfer credit approval. The other 64 credits must be earned online at Benedictine toward the 96 credit requirement for the online Dual MSMOB/MPH program.
