What You'll Learn in MPH 6034

When working in health education, in order to maximize limited resources, a health educator must assess the actual needs of the population and then plan programs to meet those needs. In this course, you will learn the skills that will prepare you for the Certified Health Educator Specialist (CHES) examination, which is necessary to become a professional in the health education field.

You'll learn the needs assessment process, what kind of data to collect and how to ensure the data is from a valid source. You'll cover planning, implementation, evaluation and management. You'll also learn the importance of communication and the role of the health education advocates who promote change and endorse good health for all.
