Laurie Schubert

Dr. Schubert joined the Nutrition Department as adjunct instructor in 2010, where she teaches graduate and undergraduate nutrition research and an advanced nutritional physiology class for the exercise physiology graduate program. 

She is owner and President of Nutrition HeartBeat, a sports nutrition private practice, as well as the sports dietitian and editor for Experience Triathlon. Dr. Schubert earned a degree in Chemistry from Bryn Mawr College in PA, a doctorate in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Wisconsin in Madison, WI, completed DPD requirements at Benedictine University and interned at Loyola University Chicago. Most recently, Dr. Schubert became a certified Health and Wellness Coach through Wellcoaches. She serves as Treasurer for the Illinois Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and is President of the Board of Directors of the Atkore Family Foundation. Laurie lives with her husband in Naperville, IL.
