Benedictine University offers an online master’s in nutrition — the Master of Science in Nutrition and Wellness. Taking just one class at a time, you can complete this unique curriculum in one and a half to two years. The advanced online nutrition degree combines nutrition science and wellness programming in a single online program, allowing you to build on existing knowledge and retool for new career opportunities in an ever-evolving work environment.

Choose an In-Demand Concentration

  • Health Education and Promotion Concentration: Aligned with competencies for health educators in community and other health care environments.
  • Nutrition Entrepreneurship Concentration: Provides flexibility by allowing you to select some of your electives in nutrition, business, or public health to best meet your professional and personal goals.  

Among other things, you will study the role of functional foods and phytochemicals in health promotion and disease prevention, the role of nutrients in growth and development, how nutrition can affect and lessen disease and conditions such as obesity, and application in wellness and public health settings.
