John Draut, M.B.A., joined Benedictine University in 1996 and is the Director of the M.S. in Accountancy program. During his 38-plus years of corporate experience, he has held executive positions such as Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, VP Finance and Divisional Controller in the hospitality, agricultural equipment manufacturing, financial printing, electronic component distribution, and commercial and retail tool manufacturing industries.
The range of his experience includes large multinational firms, foreign parent operations and small, privately held corporations. In addition, Draut is affiliated with the American Management Association and National Center for Continuing Education. In this capacity, he conducts seminars in the disciplines of finance, controllership, fixed asset management, accounting, and many other topics and has written a text focusing on the role of CFO in today's business environment.
