This program offers a multi-dimensional study of health that allows you to build on your foundation in nutrition and health risk assessment, motivation, intervention and evaluation and learn advanced clinical skills and community-based applications. Among other things, you will study in detail macronutrient and micronutrient metabolism, the role of functional foods and phytochemicals in various disease conditions and the application of interventions in clinical, wellness and public health settings.
The online Master of Science in Nutrition and Wellness will open your eyes to the newest practices and prepare you to bring a deeper, more sophisticated level of nutritional care to your patients and clients and to plan and implement community-based educational programs. Choose a concentration in either Health Education or Nutrition Entrepreneurship. The
Health Education concentration prepares you to take the Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) exam by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing (NCHEC). The
Nutrition Entrepreneurship concentration prepares you to establish, expand and manage a nutrition and food-related business.
